Heather owns and runs

Dorset Foodie Feed. 

Dorset Foodie Feed hosts Dorset's largest online Directory of independent, Dorset based food and drink businesses as well as reviews, information for food & drink businesses owners and recipes. 

Heather edits the site, curates the Directory, write recipes, takes photos, visits establishments and writes reviews.

BESPOKE FOOD AS PROPS FOR PHOTOSHOOT

 

Roberts Radio

Roberts Radio required food 'props' to help style a lifestyle shoot for their social media content. They would be used to help promote their retro, colourful DAB radios and created to be posted at specific times of the year - including Halloween. 

 

These bakes were created to this loose brief for the shots and styled by the agency for the client.

MAKING CLIENT RECIPES FOR PHOTOSHOOT

 

Badger Beer

Creating bakes to a client's recipe for social and website. 

The client created recipes for their website and social which included their beers in the recipes. These bakes were created to help give examples to the customer as to what the finished recipe should look like.

FOOD WRITER FOR 

THE BLACKMORE VALE MAGAZINE

Recipe creation and local, seasonal food content.

The Editor of the new Blackmore Vale magazine asked Heather to write Dorset based and seasonal foodie content for their magazine. In their inaugural edition, Heather provided her plum crumble recipe with some tips for locally sourced accompaniments. 

All copy, recipes and photography were provided by Heather for the articles.

Splenda

Recipe testing and photoshoot for finished bakes for social and blog content. 

The client was working on a GBBO campaign and needed their recipes tested as well as baking the final items for the photoshoot/video.

Book & Bucket Cheese Co

The client needed some help with creating images of products and offers that would compliment their own 'behind the scenes' style content and help consumers know what was on offer, as well as letting them know about products recently winning local awards.

Content was written and created to release over period of time and made with instagram highlights in mind to enhance their existing profile.

HOUSE MAGAZINE

A series of recipes for seasonal magazine content.

Heather was asked to write a series of recipes for House magazine. The magazines are published monthly so it was decided to make the recipes fit to the holidays in that month. All copy, recipes and pictures were provided by Heather for the articles. The articles were published in their print Magazines and on their website.

Roberts Radio

Recipe creation and photoshoot for finished bakes for social and blog content. 

The client required blog content for Easter with a simple recipe for Hot Cross Buns. This was the styled and photographed before the recipe and accompanying photos were used on the blog and on social. 

Recipe, bakes and photos were created by Heather. Post production editing was done by the client.

Working with brands to review or launch products or establishments. 

Heather has worked many with local and national brands to help reach her audience via Dorset Foodie Feed. All copy and photos were produced by Heather.

 

This includes Marks & Spencer, Cote Brasserie, Franco Manca, Hotel du Vin, Brewhouse & Kitchen, The Stable and Las Iguanas, as well as many Dorset brands including Urban Guild, Purbeck Ice Cream, Conker, The Scented Botonist and Restaurant Roots.

FOOD LOVER MAGAZINE

Recipe creation and baking tips for magazine content.

The Editor of Food Lover magazine asked Heather to write two baking themed articles for their magazine. One article had a Mother's Day theme and another featured tips to be a better baker.

BUILD WEBSITES FOR FOOD/DRINK BUSINESSES

Helping micro food or drink businesses get up and running/pivot sales with new websites. 

Heather graduated from Bath University with a Computer Science degree and has since combined her skills to help others rebuild their websites. Combining her knowledge of food businesses with her IT skills, Heather was able to quickly build websites for clients that are aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.  

Heather also built her own website and Dorset Foodie Feed's website, taking both through a branding process and making sure they are SEO optimised.

COPY FOR PRESS ARTICLES, EMAILERS & ARTWORK/COPY FOR MAGAZINE ADVERTS

Working with clients to write copy for press releases and to email news to customers and suppliers. 

Press releases were also sent to local media outlets and led to articles in every media outlet contacted. 

Artwork for adverts was made to digital & print specifications in Photoshop.
